New York City FC missed a valuable opportunity to climb to the top of the Eastern Conference after conceding a late equalizer in a 1-1 draw against St. Louis SC on Saturday night at Citi Field.
In front of more than 20,000 fans, NYCFC controlled much of the match but failed to secure the win, allowing the visitors to capitalize in the final moments of stoppage time.
The game started at a fast pace, with both teams showing attacking intent. However, as the first half progressed, the match settled into a midfield battle. NYCFC maintained possession but struggled to create real danger, relying mostly on long-distance efforts that failed to trouble the goalkeeper.

New York City FC dejó escapar una valiosa oportunidad de colocarse en la cima de la Conferencia Este tras empatar 1-1 ante St. Louis SC en el Citi Field.
Ante más de 20 mil espectadores, el conjunto celeste dominó gran parte del partido, pero no supo cerrar el resultado y terminó cediendo el empate en los últimos instantes del tiempo añadido.
El encuentro comenzó con intensidad por parte de ambos equipos, mostrando vocación ofensiva. Sin embargo, con el paso de los minutos, el juego se trasladó al mediocampo, donde NYCFC tuvo mayor posesión pero sin generar peligro claro.
